Its hot and humid here. The horseflies are out in drones and they LOVE me. This is not mutual. They can ruin a perfectly good walk. The ticks are also out in force and I seem to be constantly twisting the little critters off the dogs. We know how to live out here!!
Aside from this the gorgeous sunshine dries out my fleece really quickly! And all the knitting I have soaked, squeezed and blocked out. These are good things.
I have started drawing again. Just simply playing with ideas for textile works. Sometimes just playing with colour.
Sometimes just trying to get my eye in again.
We have set aside our Monday evenings to do drawing and have fun together. This is a refreshing evening to look forward to! meg has to hurry home from work on a Monday so as not to be ‘late’!!

Mmm, that’s why I live in Melbourne, no ticks, no midges, just snakes, fire and a sun that gives you cancer. Your watercolours are just wanting to leap off the page into yarn I reckon…lovely stuff.
